Showers for most regions through tonight... inflow of smog overnight Updated: 2021-01-26 15:56:35 KST

The nation will see some rain showers for the rest of the evening.
Let's turn to our Lee Seung-min at the Weather Center.
Seung-min, after the rain, dust levels are set to increase again?

Well, Conn-young. We're seeing patches of rain across the nation tonight. Southern regions will see 5 to 30 millimeters of sporadic showers and central regions can expect less than 5 millimeters.

After the rain lets up, smog and dust from overseas are set to blanket the west of the nation overnight. For western central regions including the Seoul metropolitan area, high dust concentrations will continue through tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be colder than today, but still about 3 to 4 degrees warmer than the seasonal norms. Seoul will begin at minus 3 degrees Celsius, Gwangju 1 degree and Busan 3 degrees.

Daytime figures in Seoul will reach 5 degrees, Gwangju and Daegu 9 degrees.

On Thursday, rain and snow are in the forecast nationwide. This time thunder and lightning may follow, so please be prepared if you have any outdoor plans. And after the snow, cold conditions will intensify on Friday, with lows plunging to minus 12 degrees. Because it has been relatively warm for the past few days, the weather will feel especially chilly.

Meanwhile, the south coast will be seeing strong gusts through tomorrow. Please secure any items that could blow away.

That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
